‘I think hope is most visible when you see people carry on or pick themselves up from adversity. When they have good reasons to give up but the hope that they have helps them keep going. I don’t think hope has to be baseless – without reason though – Jesus had hope that took Him to the worst place imaginable but it wasn’t blind hope. Hope isn’t blind – hope helps us to see, it opens our eyes to another possibility – another way.’
